Olive oil powder!

Thus the ARDUStech Team consists of Vassilis Sioros, Food Technologist with experience for over ten years in the food industry, and Akis Kapetas, Civil Engineer with a Master's degree and certified as " European Energy Manager " by the Greek AHK.

The two spoke to Teixeira. Gr about their company, ARDUStech.

When the FDA ( Foods Drugs Admin of USA ) passed a law banning the use of trans fats after the end of 2019, with the result that all food industries and not only are forced to replace or remove them from their recipes, Vassilis with Akis thought that timing is perfect to create olive oil in solid form thus offering a solution to this problem.

They are creating a healthy and premium ingredient for their formula.

ARDUStech is a B2B company that produces microencapsulated olive oil through the spray drying technique. In other words, it has olive oil in solid form ( powder ) without changing either the chemical composition of the olive oil or its organoleptic characteristics.

It is aimed at the food, food supplements, and cosmetics industries

The company aims to develop a series of innovative food ingredients, medicines, and cosmetics industries.

What is your vision, and what does success mean to you?

Our vision is to create new series of premium products of more excellent nutritional value, contributing to a healthier lifestyle. Success for us is establishing ourselves in the dry mix market and opening a new distribution channel in the olive oil market. But, for now, we are a small group.

We set small goals each time.

So in the case of failure, the disappointment is slight, while in the opposite case, the joy is great.

Can one start a startup without money and investors?

Usually, people think a startup company does not invest much capital, which is wrong.

Many people, regardless of age, quit their jobs, like us, to make a fresh start and have dedicated countless workers to setting up their business or taking it one step further.

Finding an investor should not be an end in itself.

 It's something that comes along.

Several incubators and accelerators support entrepreneurship with capital and infrastructure.

What advice do you have for entrepreneurs who are just starting?

Our advice is courage, patience, and perseverance because startups are usually slow to bear fruit, while interactivity plays an important role.
