Unbelievable: pack of eggs planted and sprouted

Subject: Egg packaging turns itself into compost.

Biopack not only leaves no trace but is transformed into a small garden.

A Greek designer from Thessaloniki, George Bosnas, recently emerged as the Young Balkan Designers 2019 competition for a recyclable but organic packaging of eggs that is transformed into a small garden after its use.

Biopack, as it was named, is made from pulp, flour, starch, and organic seeds, and when it has completed its helpful mission, it is planted and sprouted. "Recycling is a form of waste management that consists of turning it into reusable products," the designer comments on his website (georgebosnas.com) and adds:

"Recycling is a multi-step process that involves transporting, separating, processing, and converting materials into new products.

It is challenging to estimate the amount of energy consumed.

The economy is not thriving on recycling efforts because processing all the waste we produce is more expensive.

Biopack is a package designed to be ecological at every level.

After consuming the eggs, the user, instead of throwing them away or recycling them, waters them or plants them to develop the seeds into plants.

In this way, nothing is wasted.
