Recipe for Old fashion soap

You can buy a few pure materials, or if you want to live outside the big urban centers, you can make the soap for the whole year. Then, the same can be used as a base for laundry detergent.

Materials

 900 gr olive oil

 115 gr. NaOH (caustic soda)

300 ml pure spring water or Natural mineral water (bottled).

Execution of the recipe for olive oil soap.

First, we make the acidic soda solution.

Caustic soda (NaOH) is a dangerous chemical that can cause burns.

However, if some precautions are followed, we can handle them without a problem.

We have a bottle of vinegar with us to stop the burn if needed.

We put on safety goggles, closed shoes, and plastic gloves and get started.

Add the caustic soda to the water, never the other way around, because small explosions will occur. Be careful not to splash because it is acidic and has a high temperature.

Let it cool in a well-ventilated area away from children.

Our recipe may contain solid oils (butter), e.g., coconut oil.

Put the butter in our container and put it on the fire. Once melted, turn off the heat and add the liquid oils (olive oil).

Slowly add the caustic soda to the oils (never the opposite because it can "cut" the soap), stirring constantly.

Continue stirring until the mixture thickens slightly.

Once the mixture is homogenized and thickens, add the herbs, spices, and essential oils we want, stirring constantly.

Add 20-25 ml of essential oils for the above basic recipe.

It's time to fill our molds.

We use old pans and plastic utensils with oil-based adhesives or silicone molds.

Place the pans with the soap in a warm and safe place so that it starts to mature. Depending on the room's temperature, placing a towel around the mold to keep it warm and for the saponification to proceed correctly is a good idea.

Leave the new soap in its molds for 24 hours until it hardens enough so we can cut it out and cut it into pieces (with gloves because it is still caustic).

The saponification process takes several days, and the soap should be used after 3-4 weeks when it is mature and its PH has dropped.

Olive oil

Olive oil has proven beneficial properties in the human body as food but olive oil as a cosmetic in various areas of our body,

can have just as excellent results.

Olive oil, as a cosmetic, is used in body hygiene and face and hair care.

In any case, we recommend preparing homemade soap and olive oil at least two years old.

For more aroma, you can add five drops of olive oil aroma.

Tips.

Put a small teaspoon of salt to make it a little more complicated and not melt quickly with water in the bath.

Add two teaspoons of sugar (or coconut oil in the same ratio) to give it the ability to foam.

To use it, you must wait about three months for the pH to mature.

This soap is ideal for the whole body but also the hair.

But be careful; after 2-3 baths, your Malia will feel them, and it will be as if you were electrocuted or like Magica de Spell ( pic above).

But then your body (on the scalp) will balance with the pH of the soap, and you will feel and be much cleaner since you will not need daily shampooing with expensive shampoos.

Those who now have long hair to untangle after shampooing will do a gentle massage with Nettle extract.
